AyaNaon.app: Hyperlocal Social Discovery Platform
Ayanaon is a location-based web app designed to help the users called "Warga" find and discover what's happening around them which could be legendary restaurants, music concerts, sports events, and many more.
❓ Story Behind It: Today, the era where the information rapidly flows everyday from anywhere through your phones/devices make the users out of control with what information should be kept/reminded. In daily context, me and/or many people often miss out on great local places and events simply because the information is scattered, outdated, or buried inside large platforms. Discovery usually depends on social media algorithms or generic reviews, making it hard to know what’s truly happening nearby and worth visiting. 💡 Offered Solution: AyaNaon(which roughly translates to "What's up?" or "What's happening?" in Sundanese) brings local discovery back to context and relevance. By combining location, categories, and community signals, the app helps the users or called by "Warga" can be able to quickly explore nearby experiences that has been curated whether it’s a legendary food spot, a live concert, a weekend sports event, and etc. The main idea is to create a "melting pot" platform that connects physical places to the Internet, making them feel alive. 🚀 How it Works: 1. Organizes places and events based on location and category 2. Highlights local relevance instead of generic popularity 3. Displays everything through a simple, map-driven interface but powerful 🛠️ Tech Stack: - Frontend: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, utilizing the Google Maps JavaScript API for the interactive map. - Backend: Node.js and Express.js deployed on Netlify. - Database: MongoDB for storing all pin data, web traffics, and other application information. 🤔 What to Expect: This project aims to improve everyday discovery without relying on easily missed viral contents or biased paid promotions. AyaNaon builds a foundation for local insights, offering tools that enable communities, events, and SMEs to effectively share their promotions. ✨ Why This Matters: Ayanaon reflects my approach to problem solving: using data and digital products to make local experiences more visible, accessible, and meaningful while keeping the experience simple and human-centered.
